Has anyone with dish (and on the east coast) actually gotten the above channels today? I'll have to phone the wife to see, otherwise I'll have to wait until tonight. Disney for the Kids is all we were really lacking; though travel, smithsonian, & weather are nice adds too. I've had Sci-Fi, CNN & ESPN News for over a month already in HD though, maybe it's finally across the board? ~Camper |

yeah...its weird.. they mention SciFi, but, we have had SciFi HD for a couple of weeks now.....
and speaking of that....whats with them advertising HD and then showing 480p stuff and cropping it!? They realize the are just wasting their bandwidth with that crap, right? |

Dish used to have the edge on HD quality in terms of PQ and resolution. Even that's gone now.
DirecTV is not perfect and I'm not here to defend it or bash Dish, but at this point...why would anyone really choose Dish over DirecTV or not seriously consider switching over to DirecTV if they're Dish owners now? This is assuming you want to stick with satellite? What's the draw to come into Dish or stick with them at this point? |
