Couldnt believe I didnt find a single post about these?

Any KEF owners out there?

I dont have anywhere to audition these anywhere near me.

I'm wondering how they are for music? HT?

I don't own Kef's, but a good friend of mine does. He just bought two bookshelf size main speakers and a center channel from OneCall.com.

I believe they are the q series. They look great and really sound good for the price.

I got a second hand set of 2005.2s a week or so ago and got round to setting them up last night. Well, got as far as the front L/R, centre and the sub. They were a little larger than I actually thought they would be

As it was 1am when i finished, and the missus and 1 year old where in bed I haven't really had a chance to try them out properly yet.

I've got them wired to a 605 and a BD30.

So, at 1am I done the Audessy setup and was impressed with the setup routine, and also how clear they sounded just during the tests. I only had a HTIB before and I know its not exactly an audiophiles examination, but even the test tones sounded very clear and deeper (as in depth not bass wise). Maybe I was just imagining it but it deffo seemed clearer and "felt" louder.

So I couldn't help myself and put on a quick blast of 30 days of night . Again even without the rears it sounded so much better than the HTIB. And the True HD displayed on the Onkyo made me grin I've got 10 disks sitting waiting that I've refused to watch/hear until I had the setup complete.

Hopefully, I'll manage to get the rears up and running tonight and maybe give them a proper workout. But so far so good.

Not to hijack the thread, but is it worth connecting my SKY + up via an optical and SVid to the receiver. At present its just going through a scart lead. We dont have the movie channel so I'm not sure what sound formats normal programmes and the occassional film are sent out in. Hopefully I'll be getting SKY HD when the new footy season starts so would I be better waiting? My Mrs doesnt like having to turn on "amps and stuff" just to watch her soaps

Thanks for any help.
