Default video scaler thoughts/comments

so my tv is in my sig. it said that its 480i/480p,720p,1080i supported. the only problem is that 720p signals are downconverted to 480p , im not looking to get a new tv just yet and blus look excellent at 1080i.

the only signal that i get in 720p are ps3 games which most of them are. i was looking at video scalers to convert the 720p games to 1080i and was looking at this:
http://www.gefen.com/kvm/product.jsp?prod_id=4722

does anyone have any insight as how well these scalers work and especially with ps3 games?

thanks

so basically you are saying the TV is not accepting 720p correctly?

how do you have everything connected? all HDMI right?

me personally I would not get the scaler...but I do feel your pain, my 1080i ONLY hdtv does not even accept 720p...and similar downscales to 480p. Which definitely put my game playing on hold until I bought a new 720p LCD.
