Man, Joe Pesci is so bad-ass in this movie!! Casino showcases Pesci's best performance since his Academy Award-winning performance in GoodFellas! And Robert De Niro once again shows us why he is one of the best actors of all time. All I can say is: "Hurry up Universal, and release Casino on Blu-ray!!"

No offense OP but everytime I see a thread with just a movie title like this I think it is an announcement that it is getting released, and then get disappointed when it is just a thread about someone hoping a movie gets released.

That being said, since this was out on HD DVD I would assume it would be sooner rather than later for this on Blu.

This film almost pushed me into buying an HD player. I was so sick of that flipper bullshit disk they released in '05. Not too mention there was a recall because it had a bad transfer. I took it back to walmart(widescreen) and ended up getting stuck with the shitty full screen. Casino in Blu on pristine 1080...i'd be in heaven!

I agree with makaveli.....we should hear something within the next year just because it was on HD. Ex. The Mummy

I heard the HD DVD did have some problems in terms of a dirty print. Hopefully they will give us new hi bitrate transfer on a BD 50 (and BD 25 for the extra features).

It will have a DTS HD MA, as Universal does support it for all its releases. It was one of the first titles to have DTS in cinemas. I really can't wait to experience it on Blu!

This would be awesome on Blu! Even though Goodfellas is a great movie, I prefer Casino over it. To me the glamour, sophistication, coolness, and seedyness of old Las Vegas appeals more to me than Ray Liotta getting coked out in Goodfellas.

This is one great movie (CASINO 1995). I watched it last night from beginning to end.

Question: Why does this take so damn long to load? Because the disc contains so many languages? GEEZ. I really would like to know why it takes so long.

Suggestion for the industry. Why not just make ENGLISH discs available to those that want to purchase? IF that is the problem/reason.

Anyone know why the loooonnnng downloading time for this Blu-Ray disc?
