Post Movies based on Stephen King novels

Which movies based on Stephen King's novels (including the ones under "Richard Bachman") should be released on Blu-ray in the near future?

Personally, I'd pick Creepshow, Christine, Firestarter, Cat's Eye, Silver Bullet, The Running Man, Misery, Sleepwalkers, The Shawshank Redemption, Thinner, and The Green Mile!

They need to make a Dark Tower trilogy (ala Lord of the Rings) and make it specifically for blu, that would be awesome

Right now, it's all about Stephen King's feature-length theatrical movies and not any type of mini-series like The Stand, The Tommyknockers, or The Langoliers. But I'll probably get to that pretty soon.

i had to go with christine. "IT" would have been a better choice. I love pet cemetery, cujo, christine, IT, sometimes they comeback and children of the corn. Maximum overdrive was ok and rose red was was good. I also love the TV series of kingdom hospital.

Sorry I forgot to add misery to the list

Default That's A Tough Choice...

I voted for Pet Sematary, but Creepshow was a close second. BTY copkiwi, I like your suggestion regarding the Dark Tower series, a well-done Blu movie set would be awesome! Oh yeah, what's any opinions about the Salem's Lot original movie as compared to the remake? I liked both, but would have to go with the vintage version.

Didn't notice Mist on the list but since it is the newest, it'd probably benefit the most on blu. Dreamcatcher maybe next, even though it was pretty goofy. Where is a film based on The Talisman, WOLF!

Dude. You forgot to include Salem's Lot. Its more of mini-series but it still got a theatrical release overseas, also was released on DVD.

I agree, I have watched The Mist recently and it rocks! I definately think it should be added to Blu. However, it is a Dimension films and Genius productions venture (Rob Zombie's Halloween) so there is no idea when to expect it released. Bummer!
