I had the house to myself last night so decided to mess about with my Denon 2808 settings. My amp has been setup using the calibration mic provided. The mic decided that my main speakers FL FR were Large and the C,SL,SR,SBL,SBR were all small. I've been running with this setup for the last 6 months but messed around last night and set them all to Large and to me the sound was fuller. When an amp selects a speaker as being small what is it actually doing to the signal being sent to the speaker?
So my system now runs with all speakers set to Large and all speakers crossing over to the sub at 80Hz. To me this sounds better but would like to hear how other people have their amps set |
