The reason there will be Dynamic in-game adds on the PS3 and what I think about it.
Sony will be incorporating Dynamic In-Game ads on PS3 games.
Sony has enlisted the marketing firm IGA Worldwide for the job of creating these adds. Also, IGA Worldwide is now the exclusive ad provider for all Electronic Arts games developed and published for the PS3. Don't jump to any crazy conclusions! There is a very good reason for Sony's decision to incorporate these adds. The adds cover the cost of the FREE PSN online service. I say, bring on the adds!!! I welcome them with open arms. I see this as a great trade. We get PSN service Free, they get to run ads. I'm fine with this decision. I knew it was coming back in 2006 when Sony announced that PSN would be Free. Very smart business decision. In a world where the corporation giants step on the consumer as if they were ants 99% of the time, this decision to run dynamic in-game adds is a decision I can be happy about because if favors the gamer.
