The Polks that I was MINUTES AWAY FROM PULLING THE TRIGGER ON just went up $40 in price. I know people have had a lot of good experiences with them. I was spacing my receiver purchase and my speaker purchase apart a little bit and now I got burned for it.

I haven't ordered them (and I won't for an unnecessary $40 increase in price). Does anyone know where I can get these or a comparable set of speakers from? My 605 arrives tomorrow.

Hah, you're too quick. I was going to come back here and delete my post- I called them up and they agreed to sell them at $199 for me at J&R.

That's some good service.

That's good service there..... Always good to hear someone who got a deal, or good service.... since most posts are by people getting burned/scammed

Yeah, I know what you're saying. Customer service is hard to find these days.

Well, I know I'll enjoy it. A large part of this upgrade has been thanks to all the folks here that have made suggestions or provided feedback. I'm really excited to get it all going. I just hope it's worth the wife-wrath I'm going to inevitably face.

enjoy yourself...I just got that speaker set and the 606...a lot of fun for movies!!!
