Children of Men Blu ray is gorgeous and although the soundtrack is not lossless it sounds fantastic to me. It normally get's marked down for having zero extras.

Master and Commander. Not sure what folks think fog, rain, stormy seas, daybreak sunrise and also scenes in the dark at night on a boat in the middle of nowhere would like like!

"Which film did you like and the others did not?" aren't you? And if so, what are you trying to accomplish by that, Rusty? What sense does a question make like "why did you enjoy your cheeseburger while the others did not?" ![]() |

LIFE OF BRIAN
I know I read one review that said that the skin tones were a bit red (which I didn't mind since it is set in the desert), but I personally found the movie to have a great transfer for a film released in 79, shot in Tunisia (or Morrocco, I cant remember. It was the same location Zefferelli used for JESUS OF NAZARETH) and financed by George Harrison for a few million pounds. There were only two scenes that had considerable grain. I'm more of a fan of older movies being released on Blu-Ray, since the transfers are more mind-blowing. The cinematography is far more impressive when you realize that the movie you're watching that looks like it was shot yesterday was in fact shot decades ago. |

I really disliked the processing on this disc - I would much rather have had the grain than the unnatural image I saw. |

Not sure why so many on these boards feel it's necessary to "put down" others, for simply asking a question. Is it really that big a deal? |
