Absent Digital true HD on superman returns - Blu-ray Forum

Ive just noticed that the bluray version of superman returns doesnt seem to have a digital trueHD soundtrack, but yet the HD DVD version does. Is there any reason for this? Or is the trueHD soundtrach hidden within the menus somewhere?

If I am not mistaken the only way to get the Superman Returns with the True HD sound track was by buying one of the Pioneer BD player, it was package in the box.

mmm ive got a pioneer bluray player & i didnt get a copy with it!! (maybe he flew away)

its also strange why you would only get a copy with a player in true HD??

AH well im sure a copy will surface somewhere, thanks anyway Moefiz

This is correct, except I think it's a PCM track, not TrueHD.

There have been a few lucky people who have found them in stores on the shelf with the other BDs.

They have been supposed to hit retail "any time now" for quite awhile

I'm going to try to call WB on Monday and get another update

It has both PCM and THD

For a summary:

The disc came with the Pioneer Elite BDP-94HD.

It has both PCM and TrueHD.

And to rub it in . . . the PCM track is wonderful

I got a lossless copy rather easily from a member on avsforums.
