Whats up with the new firmware update 2.36 heard complaints on the board - Blu-ray Forum

Apparantly some people can't play the new WEEDS season 3 on it.
What is up with that. And have sony realized there is a mistake in the new firmware update. If this is true then man this is some sloppy work by sony to release a firmware update that messes everything up.

Might seem as though Weeds season one does not play as well.

First I've head of it. My Weeds season 3 plays fine with update 2.36. BTW, I must say that's one slick popup menu they use.

My Season 3 hasn't shown up yet (I'm hoping it'll arrive this week), but I just tested Season 1 and it works fine for me.

The update was for game stability. I dont see what that would have to do with playing a movie. Ive always been able to watch movies after updates.

Just watched Weeds season 1 yesterday with the new firmware and it was fine....no idea about season 3 though.

I haven't seen any issues with Weeds specifically, but for some odd reason, my resume feature no longer works. Normally, if I pressed stop on the movie, it would resume right where I stopped it when I hit the play button. While watching Men in Black on Friday though, I hit stop, and came back about 20 minutes later. When I hit the play button again, it started all over. It did the same thing with Wild Things and There Will Be Blood. Anyone else have this issue?

Resume worked fine for me. Can't remember now if it was with 10,000 BC or National Geographics: Sea Monsters.

Resume function only works on some blu-ray movies. It does not work with Men In Black.... At least that was the case for me....
