You can import it if you can't wait until the US release date.

Xploited has it for $36

http://xploitedcinema.com/catalog/zo...y-p-14063.html

I'm still debating.

It's possible of a September 9th release date, doubt it but possible, that's when the DVD is being rereleased.

the copy XC has is the danish release of it , its coming out next week in Oz also.

iv'e got the danish release and it looks pretty good , interesting but as pointed out it is quite a long film.

Man, I thought they didn't plan on releasing this on blu so I bought the 2-Disc Collector's Edition SD when it came out. I guess I'll have to double-dip because I love this movie.

I will buy Zodiac as well as Sweeney Todd on when they get released. I was surprised they have waited this long for Todd or Zodiac.

Zodiac is in my top films of all time - I got mine a few weeks ago from xploitedcinema. I couldn't wait for Oct., if you like the movie an extra $6 or so is nothing for me to wait 4 months for it to be released.

This was probably my pick for best film of 2007, although I also loved Ratatouille, There Will Be Blood, Hot Fuzz, No Country for Old Men, and several others.

Still, it ticks me off that I picked this up already on standard DVD. My wife is really pressing me not to get too many films on Blu that I already own on standard discs. And I paid a pretty penny for the 2-disc version of this one too. It would probably have to be signed by the Zodiac himself for me to fork over the money right away.

P.S. If you haven't seen it yet, you really need to do so. Don't go in expecting a typical whizbang Fincher thriller, but what you'll get is something even more enthralling in its own way.

I wouldn't call it the film of the year, but it certainly wasn't terrible. I had low expectations before renting it, thinking it'd be about as good as The Zodiac which came out a year or two earlier (which means not good at all). Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo were both quite good in this. This might be the first movie about a real life serial killer that I think was actually well done (Summer of Sam = garbage, The Zodiac = garbage, Ted Bundy = garbage, the upcoming Ted Bundy movie will likely be garbage as well. Side note: Does anyone know of any other good ones? From Hell is the only other that comes to mind, and that wasn't all that great, not to mention somewhat fictionalized).

I'm not sure what one has to do with the other...

The HD DVD of Zodiac that Paramount has already released received absolutely glowing reviews, plus Paramount's policy is one of BD-specific encodes and lossless audio, so I feel there's nothing to worry about from a PQ/AQ perspective.
