Default DVD vs. Blu-ray Screenshots!

Hi folks I used the same movie "Across The Universe" both DVD and BD to this test.

1. Left DVD- Right BD

2. Left DVD- Right BD

3. Up DVD- Down BD

In real life the difference is dramatic, but this pictures help for those who still not believe.

My friend used to have a "crush" on that chick when we were 10 or so.

hahahahahahahaha

Looking at the DVD, I have no idea what he was thinking. Looking at the BD, I'd hit it. Twice.

an even better comparison would be the BD logo on sony videos... on the DVDs they always have the "now on blu-ray high-def" trailer, and i'm sure it would be on the BDs that have it too (i know its on some of mine) and that has been a very noticeable difference, even when the DVD version is upscaled and I'm 10 feet from the TV

I've never seen the Spider Man 3 DVD, as I only owned the BD since it was released, but CASINO ROYALE always concerned me...I love this film, and I own the two disc DVD and have played it to death already, but when I rented the Blu ray to see if there was a difference, I was really dissapointed...I didn't see a dazzling difference between the DVD (which looks pretty darn good in certain places like when he arrives in the Bahamas and he sees the chick on the beach with the horse) and the Blu ray to be honest...the same dark sequences got the same amount of grain and annoying "fuzzyness" in them and some scenes on the Blu ray looked downright flat and DVD-like in appearance to me...

Yeah Elmo...Spidey 3 is one of the better looking transfers out there; if you haven't added this to your BD collection yet you need to...

I agree that the story was nowhere near the genius of Raimi's mind that was 1 and 2 -- but the disc itself sports a nice, rich transfer...especially in the scene where he flies in to get the key to the city from the police chief's daughter; look at the level of detail and color in his suit...amazing, no pun intended...

If you shop around, the disc can be had for less than "stores" want for it; that's what I did upon release week (actually I think I preordered it) and I didn't feel so "robbed" about paying full price for it on BD...
