Optoma HD80 Owners Beware Pana BD30

After selling My Infocus 7205 projector at a staggering 85% loss due to DVi EDID nonconformity , and replacing it with the Optoma HD80 1080p star of the show unit, i have come to team it with my new Pana BD30 player only to find that the HD80 has a similar problem!!!!
It doesnt broadcast (send)the EDID for 24fps, so as the Pana does not have a force option i have lost a very important feature!

And what is Optoma's answer to this "TUFF"

So think twice when you consider Optoma products

I can only suggest one thing: Get a PS3.

Have one, isn't as good as my previous Pana BD10A and light yrs behind the BD30 PQ

Not providing a forced 24p outputs keeps the Panny and out of becoming liable in the event of a customer mishap.
(Correct EDID announcement of a display capabilities is the sole responsibility of the display manufacturer.)

The "tuff" statement is just piss poor customer service.
Write a firm (but tasteful) letter to corporate HQ stating your displeasure and how you have faith that this "oversight" will be corrected in a future firmware upgrade.
