Angry problem with Pana 55 : is that the judder?

Hi. today I updated the Firmware of Pana BD-55 from 1.2 to last 1.3 in Europe. I was shoked by huge judder at the beginning of Dark Knight The Steelcase Blu ray Disc ( the building on the left corner was realy dancing!)

I have noticed a similar thing with my panny 55 lately but mine has not been updated. Not sure if its my TV, the hdmi cable or my panny.

I have the exact same problem with my ps3. It's down to the TV, samsung. Another guy told me on another post that the tv has bad 1080p/24fps processing. I have an engineer coming to look at it this next saturday (actually to look at one of the HDMI inputs not working). I'll ask him about the juddering and i'll post the answer he gives

Default Thank you gays for the reply

So I am not one having this problem with The dark Knight Batman. I play many of BD's on my panasonic 55 and did not see the same. I coupled my Panasonic 55 with Profigold oxypure 10m to Pana TH-65-PZ800.

Thumbs down

The option in the setup TV/Device Connection of 24p is ON but the shaking is still on place( zooming building left in the first scene of Dark Knight). The display option of picture: progressive (auto, video, film) did not change anything

I have a Panasonic BD-55 and a Sony Bravia and I get the judder too. I've noticed it in a few movies but TDK was probably the worst instance I've seen.

Possibly your Cantrast and Sharpness settings are way to high.Try toning them down a bit.

I assume the judder is only when outputting 24p.
(no judder at 60p correct?)
Many so called 24p ready sets do not process 24p correctly since they just simply do what the player does when you output 60p.
Very few displays take a 24p signal and apply 5:5 processing.
I would go back to 60p output.
24p is over played marketing BS because few have the correct equipment to implement it properly.

Here is an excellent post about it.

Hi,
Contrast and sharpness adjustments did not change this effect.
I do not know what it is in my Pana TV "Intelligent Frame Creation" BUT I turned It off (setup menu) and JUTTER IS GONE !!!! So the problem is in TV Panasonic TH 65PZ800 !

Also, check the Panasonic website for the latest firmware updates. I noticed several updates on there that were specific to issues with the Dark Knight and several other Blu-Rays, and the latest updates are specifically designed to fix those issues.
