Default home theatre backlighting questions!!!

so i have looked around and noticed that 6500k is suggested for backlighting a television. only problem is the base for that kind of bulb certainly will not fit behind a wall mounted tv. does anyone have suggestions for the best looking backlighting on wall mounted sets?

I used a clip on desk lamp with a swivel neck, with a 15W 6500K daylight compact fluorescent bulb. While not the most aesthetically pleasing. it looks great (while viewing) and you can't see anything from the front of the tele. As long as no one goes snooping behind my set.

Below is a link to the experts on this subject. I am sure that they can sell you exactly what you need and explain why proper lighting is very important to TV viewing. I have one of their lights attached to the back of my RPTV, but the light is very small and I would think it would easily attach to a panel TV.

We love the Ideal-Lume we got to go with our 46W3000. Of course ours isn't wall mounted. The guys at Cinema Quest are really helpful. You could email them and I'm sure they'd let you know if the Ideal-Lume would work with your set-up.

I used a Cyron backlight kit which I got from amazon for like 65 bucks. It comes with 6 led light tubes and works great. I keep it set on red green blue which throws white light on the wall. I'm very happy with it.

You can try a small strip of LED,s buy a few they can be found at some truck
stops. Then find a power 12 volt box, cut the end that has the lighter socket and wire all the leads from the led,s to the bare wire. If you have a AVR use it as your power source so they light up when you power up.
