Question Legal soft copy of games???

I really enjoy my PSP games, but sometimes I get so fed up with load times when the disc has to spin up. Does anyone know if Sony has plans to make available "downloadable" versions of disc games? If so, then I would glady buy the biggest MS Pro Duo card I could find!

They have made downloadable games available from the PlayStation Store via the PS3 or PC. Only problem is, this games are fairly old for the PSP. I doubt they will make any new release games available via download and on UMD. Maybe this would change if they finally add the store to the PSP, but I think it will be mostly games that have been out for a while.

Of course I wouldn't want to pay for them again, or at least pay a bunch for them again. Maybe it's not feasible, but perhaps some kind of trade-in program where you would get credit to purchase a DL-able copy of your disc games, depending on what shape your game is in.

I like how it's done with CFW, but that's not legal and I don't want to brick my PSP.

Honestly...is side-by-side comparisons I've held on my own...the games are a tad faster off the disk. I have no idea why. Maybe the way the code works or the decompressing of the files off the memory stick. I tested Gurumin from the PSN store to the disk on my legit PSP, and Portable Ops/Tales of the World as ISO files from my modded PSP.

Maybe it's a difference in BUS speed between the MSPD and the UMD. Do you have a high-end MSPD card?

The speed between reading a disk and a flash memory card is different.
If your using a slow (dealextreme.com) memory card, it'll take a longer time.
If your using a super fast memory card, it'll load quicker.
