Talking Is this a good Blu-ray player??

Well i'm getting my boss a Blu-Ray player for her birthday coming real
soon. Is the Sylvania NB500SL9 1080p Blu-Ray Player a good choice
because I want a good but inexpensive player and I want to know if
its worth the $300 price tag and does it have an Ethernet port??
Thanks!! You guys are awesome!!

Default SON BDP s300

the sony bdp s300 would be your best bet... it was $400 but is being replaced with the SON BDP s350 and so you can find it some places for $320...circuit city has them for 340... for the extra $40 i would go with the Sony over the sylvania.

No, and its an older unit.
The Sylvania is based on the Funai player.
There is a sticky thread on top with some reviews.
Regardless of the name, Sylvania, Magnavox, etc. they are the same player.
No Ethernet for these players either.

Is Ethernet a mandatory feature?
If so, the Sony BDP-S350 is just out and that does have it.($399 price though)
I would not buy the older BDP-S300 unit now that this one is out.
