Big Fish is one of my favorite films, and it would be a pleasure in 1080p. And of course Lawrence of Arabia and Spider-man are automatic purchases. This year is going to be very expensive.

From that list I am more psyched about Bad Boys, it is a great movie, and the first Spiderman while a good film was not as good as the second.

I have to say I am so totally blown away at how good the Sony trailer looks on Ricky Bobby on my 720p Samsung display I just have to keep watching it.

Even Lawrence looks crystal clear, which I find hard to believe, considering the best source available is the superbit master.

Maybe it's from a new master?

Lawrence is 70mm so the negative was 22mm x 48mm approx.
(LOR neg is 10mm x 24mm)

Wait until the IMAX movies come on Blu-ray.

An IMAX negative dwarfs any other movie format. Its negative is 69.6 mm wide and 48.5 mm tall.

It damn well BETTER look crystal clear!

I would be very disappointed if they used the same master they had for the Superbit version. It has EE in the master itself. A new master is in order.

This is Sony's crown jewel. They sure as hell better make sure it shines like one on BD!

I was watching Gridiron Gang last night. (great movie BTW) Before the movie it had a preview montage with some sweet movies that all say coming to blu ray but some have already been released. Most notable were Spiderman, Bad Boys II, Once upon a time in Mexico and the Patriot. I can't wait for all of these movies.

I don't have GG, does the preview also have clips from Big Fish and Open Season? I'm wondering if it's the same one as the demo disc they use for the Sony standalone at Best Buy.

I'll have to double check. It might have had open season I'm not familiar with Big Fish.

Thanks, Big Fish had a scene where Ewan McGregor was looking through a window with a kind of blue tint to it.
