Default Terminator 2 on Blu in lossless?

Does anyone have any information if an updated version of T2 on Blu-Ray that has lossless audio will be coming out?

I don't want to buy the current T2 blu version because it only has Dolby 5.1.

No doubt there will be a re-release with the extended version and lossless audio, but who knows when.

Universal/Studio-Canal HDDVD has lossless audio (DTS-MA) and a different, much better, transfer. They'll probably release that on blu-ray eventually (I think I heard something about a UK release later this year)

Yeah although there have been plenty of opportunities to buy this at real cheap prices, I'm holding out for the inevitable re-release. I'm guess around either the theatrical release of the new Terminator Salvation movie, or the Blu release.

Watch for double dips on the Terminator films when the new one comes out. Not sure if they'll od it while T4 is in theaters or wait till DVD/BD release.

I don't think T-1 can look that much better. Aside from cleaning up the dirt and other problems with the print of course. And it has PCM. But it is missing some features. So if you buy T1 it probably wont hurt. Unless you think they will give it a new high def master with all bonus features. But for T2 I would assume that it will come out around T4. Same with a new T3. I won't buy T3 till it has lossless.

T1 have to remade entirely. All the whites are burned on both the BR and the SE DVD. T2 will have probably a new extended edition at some point in the future.

I have the Terminator 2 (Studio Canal) version on HD DVD which has DTS-HD MA.

They are releasing it on Blu-ray in September in the UK.

The picture quality is alot better than the earlier Lionsgate release & the DTS-HD MA soundtrack is the best I've heard T2 sound.

I'll be replacing it with the Blu-ray copy in September. You can get it at Amazon UK if you want to import it.

How about when Terminator: Salvation comes to theaters or to BD?

I also expect we'll get T3 with TrueHD around that time period.

August 4. I believe a UK site said it was coded for region A and B, but you might want to wait till its release and that can be confirmed.

1080p VC-1 with DTS HD-MA 5.1. No Extras. Director's Cut Only.

The Region A T2 is one of the worst PQ BD I ever seen.

Definately for double dip for a re-encode, extention version.
