PS3 connection problem - Blu-ray Forum

So im at my parents house this weekend and my PS3 isnt showing video or audio. I hook it up at home via HDMI but they dont have any HDMI hook ups. Component or the regular A/V cable that came in the box. Im getting nothing on either of them. Any ideas?

continue to hold the power button down for 5 secs after you press it to reset settings

Hold the power button down for @ 10 seconds. It will reset your settings to default.

When you turn on the ps3, turn it on from the console and hold down teh power button for like 10 seconds. it shoud reset the video and audio hookups. I bet that would work... you will hear the initial beep of it turning on, then keep holding and eventually you will hear another beep. you will see what i mean..

hahaha, dont, i while back i went away and brought the ps3. Couldnt figure it out and couldnt play for the weekend. Then came to find out. I just laughed and shook my head... But all in all, it should do it automatically if it senses a different hookup...
