Wink Klipsch THX or SVS

I found many Reviews on these speakers, every review was as positief as the other.
But i can't decide wich speaker set i would buy.

I wan't something that will blow me away somthing that i can be verry proud of! And i think either one of these speakers will do that over my current setup.

Ow i forgot, i'am talking about the new MTS-01 serie of svs. And the Klipsch THX ultra 2 set.

Wich of these speakers are better in your opinion?!

Well room space is indeed limited! but i will move to a bigger room in about a year or two perhaps 3 years.

and to be honest i find the thx speakers ugly to look at but the sound is amazing!!

That's a lot of speaker real-estate to just "deal with" for possibly 3 years......

If you have the room, that's one thing, but if you're going to be cramped.... it's not going to be as enjoyable.

yeah if you're not gonna have room for them for maybe 3 years either go with something else or wait til you have room... they are awesome speakers indeed but if they make it so you cant move in the room that would suck

First off let me thank you guys for the reply's

If i'am going for the THX set it is not like i can buy them right away, i first must save some money. And i was thinking of up-grading piece be piece.....

The thx set cost's about 3000 euro's more here in the Netherlands, so concidering that do you all still prefer the thx set?
And what about the Hz, spl and distortion? I read in reviews the svs have verry low distortion. (hope my spelling is correct)

I really don't know much about either set, because I haven't listened to them for myself.... but you seem pretty dead-set on the Klipsch set..... how much is the SVS set in comparison to the Klipsch?

Those sets don't seem to be in the same price range...

The Klipsch set is priced at $10,750 in a 7.2 configuration

The SVS set is priced at $6725 in a 7.2 configuration

Did you get a chance to listen at the SVS set? If you like it, a $4000 difference is huge!

I have an SVS sub and I am completely satisfied but I can't speak about their speakers since I didn't get a chance to listen to them. I think generally speaking SVS are priced lower than Klipsch so basically you get good quality speakers for less. But you can only be sure if you listen to them!

By the way, both sets look really good and should rock your world!

Well i heard the Klipsch set in action an i fell in love,

But i olso heard a svs sub and the price tag on that one suprised me, i never heard one of the svs speakers olny one box sub if i remeber correctly it was the nsd10. So i figured the bigger one's would even impress me more.
The problem is that if i want to hear the svs system i have to order the whole set and listen at home. and in my mind the Klipsch was brilliant, and if i want to make a good comparrison i must be abel to switch back and forth. Wich is not possible as far as i know.
so i was hoping one of you could tell me if the Klipsch is worth the extra money and time to save the money

the differens in price is 5000 euro's for the svs and 8000 euro's for the Klipsch

It's your money, but just because a company can make a nice sub that's affordable, doesn't mean they can make good fronts/center/surrounds

Like I said, I haven't listened to them, but asking strangers on the internet what they'd do seems kinda foolish. If you can't listen to the SVS, maybe you should expand your search to include some additional brands, and find some shops to listen to more speakers....

@Beta-man

You are more than right about that!

and i would not buy a speaker before listen to them personaly,

i know the Klipsch and the svs are not of the same price range but those reviews on the svs clain there as good as speakers in the Klipsch price range....

Could you profide me with a alternative to either one of those sets?

Just find a higher end Home-theater store..... each store usually carries 4 or 5 brands they push..... visit a few stores, and don't get influenced by the sales-people because many will sell what will make them the most money.... so just take your own music, and listen to what is available to you.......

There are a lot of great european brands.... so I figure you should find something.....

Look for Tannoy, B&W, Martin Logan, Monitor Audio, Aperion, Dahli's etc....

You've got a decent budget, and you're talking about "building" a system over time, so you've got the right idea.... now it's about finding what can be purchased/listened to in your area.....

good luck!
