Girlfriend vs. Blu-ray

Me and my girlfriend have been together for 2 1/2 years. I love her to death, but one thing kind of annoys me. I've been telling her how much BD is better than DVD for the longest and we finally watched our first BD together (Resident Evil Extinction - just bought a PS3). Even though there were some grainy parts, the scenes that weren't grainy were amazing. However, after the movie ended she said, "I can't tell the difference between Blu Ray and a regular DVD, it all looks the same to me." I was like, seriously...you can't tell the difference?" She said.... well I can see a little difference, but not enough to spend all that extra money on a Blu Ray player and BD. Do any of you know people who feel the same?
