Question Can PS3 support Closed Captions?

Not subtitles, but those like comes with broadcast TV programs.

Some of TV show DVDs don't have subtitles, but Closed Captions.
With my old DVD player, I can watch them. However, I can't find how
to turn it on on my ps3. Any one can help? THank you.

Nope. On occasions, I made a suggestion to a Sony insider that they update the firmware with a software CC decoder forcing the CC to overlay the video signal via HDMI cables.

So far, nothing.

I like to turn on subtitles myself on the Blu-Ray/DVDs that I watch and find the lack of captions for TV programs on my HDTV to be a tad annoying. I found this article that may enlighten some of us as to why closed captioning is not readily available for us in the HDTV market versus the SDTV crowd:
