www.play-asia.com

They issue $5 coupons with every purchase than can be applied on future orders worth $50 or above. If you have a friend who is an affiliate member then you can get $10 coupons from him/her instead of $5 and apply it through the affiliate link on orders worth $50 or more.

play-asia looks pretty good but i'm not sure about "ships within 1-5 days", isn't it usually 1-2 days? i'm pretty impatient about my import titles lol...

i also just found this site...www.blu-asia.com

looks good but has a fairly small selection, has anyone tried them before?

ya that's a good looking site but I find it hard to believe that there are NO horror movies on there. Guess I will wait.

Default Yesasia v. DDDHouse

For Hong Kong Blu-ray releases, DDDHouse.com has so far been more competitively priced (with shipping added) than yesasia, especially before release before the price goes up.

Yesasia carries Japan and Korean releases and a larger selection of stuff other than BDs. Japanese stuff might be cheaper from a Japanese online shop.

DDDHouse has been shipping my BDs with registered mail (signature required). Yesasia ships to a warehouse in the US or Canada and therefore takes longer (about two weeks). Neither ship before release date.

I ordered "Assembly" and "Mad Detective" from them on the 10th of August. Their site showed both as "In Stock - Ships Within 1-2 Days. I didn't even hear a word from them until the 13th and that was after I emailed them asking the status. Their reply "We expect your order to ship this weekend. Your order was made August 10 so this is standard for all products marked "Ships Within 5-10 Days".
I checked the site and sure enough both movies now show "Ships Within 5-10 Days". Next email I got was on the 19th "Your order has been updated to the following status. New status: Delivered"

I didn't receive the package until Friday August 30th. Meanwhile I placed an order with Xploited Cinema for the first time on the 19th for import versions of "Almost Famous" and "Monster" and received them both on the 22nd.

I don't recommend blu-asia.

Well just ordered The Warlords from DDDhouse thanks to this thread, almost ordered from ebay. then saw yesasia, my regular sensasian.com didn't carry it. So hope it all goes well. This movie looks great, Jet Li, Andy Lau. Has anyone seen Three Kingdoms? any good?

How long does it take to get the order from DDDHouse? I ordered Red Cliff blu-ray from ebay, it will probably take like 2-3 weeks before I get it. Will I get it faster if I've ordered it from DDDHouse? I may try them next time.

7-10 days on average for me. For Example, I ordered both Red Cliffs (9/10) and Chinese Odyssey (09/11). I received them on 09/17 and 09/19, respectively.

I am unaware of a US vendor that could or would beat the street dates Asian vendors introduce. My experience with YesAsia has always been extremely pleasing hence the reason why I favor them over everyone else (not only they offer fast free international shipping but they have an excellent point system which allows you to acquire free discs...at least this is what they introduced during the DVD-strong era).

Yesasia are quite frankly, the bomb. You pay slightly more, but it is so much worth it for the service. I also can't knock DDDHouse either, I've always had marvelous service from them.

Has anyone tried Amazon.co.jp (Japan)? Their prices seem to be cheaper than both yesasia or playasia (at least the one item I was looking at), but not sure how much they would charge for shipping internationally.

What's cool is the site allows you to translate the page in English.

Amazon JP charges roughly 20$ for shipping for a single movie.
