Default Doomsday on bd-p1500!!!

I bought doomsday today and when I started to watch it, I cant get the bonusview logo out of the upper left corner. Ive hit damn near every button on the remote but it wont go away! In the discs menu I have bonusview turned off, yet the icon will not go away. its not the only profile 1.1 disc I have but its the only one that does this. It makes no sense to me and it is annoying. there maybe nothing I can do but i figured Id ask anyway

I replied to your post in another thread as well. I had the same problem and the short of it is try stopping the dvd and then playing it. I found that when I did this, it went away.. pausing it does not work so hit the stop button, then the play button.

My main issue is how loud the music is and how soft the voices are. Constantly volume up, volume down.. My TV has a stable sound option but that doesnt seem to help with the blu-rays. I dont want the explosions and music to rock the house at night when others are sleeping.

If you have a NIGHT mode in you're audio system you can use that, it will compress the Dynamic Range to dead so it doesn't does that..

Nope.. dont have a receiver hooked up to this yet. Its in the bedroom and find it really hard to justify needing speakers everywhere. Appreciate the advice though. I did that on the downstairs receiver and it helped a little.

A lot of DVD's have done this in the past - even in stereo mode the voices are just so much quieter than the music and effects. I suspect it's a bi-product of the surround mixing. In 5.1 or 6.1 etc., you can simply boost your center channel or like some do, crank the compression to supress the louder sounds. One thing I've never tried on my sisters stereo set-up, is to pop it in Mono and see if the voices were still half as loud. Might be an idea.
