Default Registration problem

When I first tried to register, I got no email confirmation notification. The address was correct (I know this because I tried to use the same address when I re-registered and it refused it, so I had to use a different one).

I checked my email account and it isn't being held back as spam and test messages go through okay.

I waited overnight, but nothing happened. I then realised I hadn't made a note of the password so I requested a reminder. Still didn't get anything.

I suspect it may be because I unchecked "no email from Adminstrator" when signing up. Can somebody confirm/refute this, as it would be a bit silly to not send at least the confirmation email?

The problem is most likely that the welcome e-mail and all other e-mails from us get caught in your e-mail provider's spam filter, which tend to be very strict nowadays.

I don't think it should be the "no email from Adminstrator" option, that would be silly

Default I agree it would be silly

but it's definitely not my email provider spam-filtering it, so that's very odd. Oh well, guess there's an account floating around that will never get used.

I signed up on another forum using my comcast domain and never received the email as they filtered it before it reached me. I had to use a gmail account so I could see the spam and restore it, so yes it does happen, mainly with paid internet domain emails
