Default BD Live Registration

I tried to find this on the forums and elsewhere but have been unsuccessful. I don't have many BD-Live titles as not many exist but I was wondering if you had to register for every single movie or different studios or what. I registered my copy of Men In Black but when I went to log in on Forgetting Sarah Marshall it didn't recognize me. Thanks.

Yeah, I tried that as well but I thought I might not have been using the correct login info (since I didn't write it down). Anyway, if one login doesn't work for every movie, I hope it's just per studio and not per movie. I've been meaning to play around with that some but haven't done so yet. For a while, I didn't understand the point but I think it'll be needed to be informed on extra content that is added (like more content was supposedly added to BD-Live for Transformers). Oh, I guess an account is needed for stuff like the MoLog that Lionsgate uses for their BD-Live titles.

In a brilliant move designed to annoy every single BD customer, each studio is running their own BD-Live servers with different accounts needed for individual studios. I'm surprised a universal standard hasn't been agreed on like the PS3 on-line identity across all the studios.

Default Blu-ray "standard" 2.0

woo hoo. 2 studios down...7 to go. you'd think it would be cheaper to all use the same server setup than each studio developing their own interface. and they wonder why the economy is in the toilet.

I agree with what Clark Kent said. You would think that they would use your PS3 online identity as the log on and have all the systems and servers integrated to use the same information. I guess that is too much to ask all the studios to cooperate and develop a standard.

I think the problem is that it would be hard to determine how much of the tab each studio would need to pick up. If one studio has more BD-Live discs released than another or their BD-Live gets more hits, it would be unfair to split the fees evenly. On the other hand, it's also hard to make a cost-split system where each carries his own load (how would you calculate that?). I guess that alone made it hard to created one integrated system.

And I'm not even talking about the hypothesis that non-US studios join BD-Live (Bandai Visual, Toei, etc for Japan).

I was wondering how the different studios were going to handle this. Now I know. Thx for the info.
