not sure about region coding.............

i have'nt seen it but the new funny games is a remake of the directors film that he did in his native country i think they both the same just the US one having a few tweaks here and there.

is it any good?

well if your expecting a SAW/HOSTEL sort of flick your in the wrong place its a very cruel and unpleasent film to watch from what iv'e heard.

I just watched this film last night. I did not think it was very good. For a rated R film they didnt show anything, it moved along very slow. I didnt know what to expect when I put it in.

I thought it was going to be a cruel home invasion filck, but it just didn't get any sort of tension build up. When they finally did something in the film the director didnt even show you what was happening. I guess you could have used your imagination of what was happening but you never got to feel for the characters, so there was no tension or an "OMG" moment of the film.

But then, that's just my opinion.

Funny Games on Blu-Ray is ALL REGIONS and, in my opinion, is a fantastic film. Youtube search "funny games" for a scene or two of the ORIGINAL film to see if the style is to your taste. (the youtube search usually only brings up scenes from the original film, but nevertheless, both are almost exactly the same...minus some lines of dialogue and actors...tim roth and watts are FANTASTIC) If you like thrillers/horror buy it.

Much better than Strangers, but then again Strangers sucked big time despite Liv Tyler's presence

the best thing i can say about it is that the director got his point across with the movie. he accomplished what he set out to do but...

overall the movie is not meant to be very enjoyable. i also found it extremely boring.
