Default Sweet, Gigantic TV from 1978

http://gawker.com/5035730/dont-say-a...d-a-television

The sad thing is that it probably cost more than a Cadillac back then.

Cool pic... but that's not a widescreen TV. The original site seemed to think it was, but they apparently are living in the mid-90s when people for some reason thought "widescreen" and "big screen" were synonymous.

It IS a wide stand, if that counts for anything.

Yeah, I originally thought that, but I wasn't completely sure. It's hard to believe non of the commenters on that site caught the mistake.

Kind of like some people think HD and HT are synonymous.

Had a friend with a similar looking RCA projection screen TV way back when.
Got Forklift?

The original beginnings of Home Theater.
That VCR... $800+

I remember when my father got a Quasar VCR in the early 80's, it cost $899, and it had a wired remote that he always made me roll back up when we were done.
