Cool Metallica To Embark On First North American Tour In Four Years:

We can only hope they bring a film crew along for a High Def Blu Ray Concert !

Maybe they'll put out a halfway decent album to tour for. Metallica is still one of the big names I want to see before they hang it up, but hopefully they still got something left in the tank after the St. Anger atrocity.

No thanks, i will just remember them for when they were good and cared more about the music they made, then the cash they made!

James and Lars have always been a little more about cash then Cliff was.

Cliff Burton (God rest his soul) was the only man alive who could control those two ego-maniacs.

Now that James isn't so pissed anymore (how much shore-front property can you own??) he just isn't thinking and writing the same way.

I remember Kill 'em all like it was yesterday and I remember the energy in the crowd during the Ride the Lightning. Master of Puppets is something that will never be reproduced by anyone. I tell anyone (much younger) who grew up on the black album the same thing:

We must be thankful for what they have given us. They have earned the right to be whatever they want. I don't own Load, Re-Load or St. Anger, but I can tell you this... They didn't make those albums because they suck or because they sold out or because they forgot who they are, they made those albums because they could. For my money, that isn't really reason enough but we will see what the future holds.

One thing is for sure though; if Cliff Burton was alive, Some kind of Monster would have NEVER been made.
