PS3, Bravia 32" - which surround sound to choose? - Blu-ray Forum

Dear forum users, I have a PS3, a Sony Bravia 32" TV and would like to buy a surround sound solution.

I would really appreciate some advice on what surround sound system I can get that is compatable with my existing hardware.

I want surround sound for playing blu ray movies through my PS3. Currently I have a high def cable between PS3 and Bravia to enable the HD picture.

Ideally the price would middle of the road.

I've given as much techie stuff as I know so apologies if the above is not 100% accurate.

"Middle of the road" price range is very... obscure. My middle of the road is nowhere near someone like say... RUR's middle of the road. We would need a more concrete price range to start.

Outside of that, the Yamaha 633 and the Onkyo 605/606 are great starting places for receivers.

I was thinking under £200 for the price. I am not too sure what a receiver is, but not sure this is what I am after.

I play Blu Ray and DVD discs using the PS3, so need speakers and a woofer I think...?

Am pretty novice in all this so please forgive my ambiguity.
