Blu-Ray movies stuttering a bit sometimes - Blu-ray Forum

Hello guys,

Im using a BDP-S300 blu-ray player, and sometimes the movie starts to stutter a bit, its usually for 1 minute or so, but it can be pretty annoying!

What can this be? im currently using a cheaper HDMI cable, can this be the problem? would i be better of with a high quality one?

Any idea what is causing this stutter?

Your HDMI cable is most likely fine.

Is it one movie or all of them? Is your player hooked directly into the tv or is it going through a receiver??

Which movie is it??

The HDMI cable carries a digital signal so I DON'T think it is that.

I had it with I-Robot and with Pursuit of Happyness, its hooked up direcly to my TV.

Is it Will Smith thats bugging me? j/k, seriously wondering what it can be, its a serious framedrop, like you can have on a PC game for example.

my guess is you have 24fps turned on and your TV does not support it.

or, you have a bad disc.

...what is your TV?

Samsung LN32A550 and it does support 24p as far as i know.

I don't see it being described as a 120Hz LCD...so I would have to say its not displaying 24p correctly.

Turn off 24p and i'm sure your problem goes away.
