Turnaround time for in warranty repair

For those of you who have had to send your PS3 back to Sony under warranty. How long did it take from the time you sent it off, till you got the replacement? I have my coffin on the way, and want to know how long I should expect to be without my PS3.

I had to send my ps3 in about a month ago. I contacted sony and they had sent me out a package to ship it out in for free. Within 4 days I had a brand new system. My experience was great

It was pretty quick, about a week.

Turnaround was about a week for me. Sony exceeded my expectations in great customer service. Always kept me updated via e-mail as to the status of my PS3 and provided a UPS tracking number so's I could follow my PS3's return journey home.

Just a word of advice, when you receive your PS3's coffin make sure you don't make the mistake of lugging the thing to a USPS office instead of a UPS one, like I did

about a week, polar opposite to my friend who went without his 360 for 2 months each time. us PS3 owners have nothing to complain about here.

Thanks for the reassurance... my friend had to send his back, but it was out of warranty and it took longer than a week. I guess they give priority to those systems that are still under warranty. Good thing I just got a second PS3... I won't be totally without.
