Panasonic pt61lcz7 lifi and ps3 looks horrible - Blu-ray Forum

I returned a BDP-S300 because of freezing issues and picked up a new PS3 80GB in its place. I have to honestly say that my directv hd looks waaay better than bluray through the ps3. what am I doing wrong? The BDP-S300 was gorgeous when it worked this just simply looks like horse poop. I have tried a ton of setting configs and nothing works please help!!!

let me also mention that when i set the ps3 to 24 Hz it pushes the picture to the top left corner of the screen.

turn off 24Hz

set to Y Pb / Cb Pr / Cr

or RGB Limited

Or if your TV accepts a wide color space (x.v.Color support) RGB Full. On my Sony x.v.Color SXRD - setting my PS3 to limited RGB gives me awful black crush.

as a test I allows throw in planet earth shallow seas and the water looks all drag a grainy. it was good on hddvd and the other sony 30 player I'll try those settings but is there a chance the unit is broken?

I got a new unit and the difference is very noticable. trying the tweaking settings now will get back to whoever reads this.....
