Default Multiple Blu-ray problems - Please help

Hi folks,

Recently started Blu-ray converting/encoding/burning and have ran into a few problems, so I've collected them all here in the hope that someone can help me solve them all:

**1** Resolution wonderings??
-----------------------------

I have recently started converting my .mkv video files to Blu-ray disk format (BDMV and CERTIFICATES output) using ripbot264 and burning them to BD-R's or DVD-5/9's for use in a Blu-ray player/drive.

Since most of my original .mkv videos are a resolution other than 720p (e.g. 1280 by 528p), I have been re-encoding the resolution to 720p via ripbot's settings. Is this re-encoding of the resolution neccesary in order for the final discs to work in a Blu-ray drive/player???

**2** DTS conversion and ripbot264
-----------------------

As mentioned above I have been using ripbot264 for my converting and re-encoding, since MeGUI doesn't open .mkv files and SUPER takes decades to convert. However, certain files (particularly 1080p) which use DTS rather than AC3 refuse to open with ripbot264. Is there a plug-in or solution to fix this?? and will DTS sound work with the output Blu-ray DVD format?

Also in order to overcome this so far I have demuxed the DTS audio from my .mkv file using tsMuxeR and converted it to AC3 using eac3to GUI, then muxed it with the original MKV video to a .ts output again in tsMuxeR. Is there a better way for DTS to AC3 conversion??? (I couln't get EZmkvDTS2AC3 to work btw, and also a few other similar programs).

**3** 1080p resolution in ripbot264
-----------------------------------

With the above .ts file with it's new AC3 audio, I was able to load it into ripbot264. However, the resoltuion was 1920 by 816p, so I attempted to re-encode the resoltuion to 1080p. However, there is no 1080p option in the custom resolution properties; it jumps from 1072 to 1088. Is there a way to fix this (e.g. add-on, plug-in, etc.) or another program that will quickly and simply re-encode the resolution of .mkv/.ts video files???

**4** Burning DVD-9's
---------------------

The aforementioned output BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders from my 720p converts usually managed to fit on a single layer DVD-R (DVD-5). However, recent output folders exceeded this so I burned it on a dual layer DVD-R (DVD-9), keeping the usual UDF 2.50 settings with imgburn. The output disc was recognised by PowerDVD but it wouldn't play. Is there something different I have to do when burning Blu-ray files onto a dual layer DVD-R when compared to a single layer??

**5** .mkv Audio and Video lengths different
--------------------------------------------

I also attempted to open the previous mentioned .mkv DTS file in TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress and re-encode and convert straight to a 25Gb Blu-ray format. However the audio and video lengths were a good bit differnt, leaving the preview output out of sync. This didn't happen with the converted AC3 .ts file. Does anyone know why this is???

**6** Ultimate Blu-ray Software
-------------------------------

Is there a program out there (even if it costs) that has all the features of ripbot264 and tsMuxeR without said resolutiona and converting problems??

Thanks folks for taking the time to read this, sorry to be a pest, but this is stressing me out more than my broken Xbox 360 and PS3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
