Okay I was looking into buying a second Blu-ray player that was a Region 2 or B player so I wouldn't have to worry about the codes anymore, well somewhat. What I am wondering is, if I buy a Blu-ray player from Amazon UK, is it a Region 2 or B automatically??? And would I be able to update the player if need be here in the U.S?? I just want to be able to buy region 2/B movies and be able to play them with no worries. Any info. on this topic would be great. Thanks

Oh yah...back on topic LOL
From what others have said here, Amazon won't ship Region X player to region Y. There are ways to "chip" your player to get around the regions - but that's beyond my knowledge. The only players, that I'm aware of, that allow you to change the region settings are PC drives - but even then there is a small finite limite on the number of times you can change the region setting. |
