problem with ratchet and clack tools of destruction - Blu-ray Forum

I have just rented ratchet and clank and I have a 40gb system. I currently have 24 gb of free space on my hdd. Everytime that I try to play the game it just tells me that I have insufficient space on my hdd. anyone help???

I would backup your game data and format the drive.

I've heard thats a problem some people come across. Sony says that all you need to do, is delete a few hundred megs of data off the hard drive.

yes when installing the game data its looking at what MB you have left not the GB u have left, so find something like a trailer or demo thats 310MB or so and delete it

the game data is 410 mb.. i just went through this problem

I think it was R&C for me as well that did this. I called Sony because I took the game back and got a new one which did the same thing. They recommended backing up my game data and reformatting the HD. It took hours to do but, after that it worked. As it's a rental, though easily one of the better games on the PS3 IMO, it may not be worth it to you. Else, call Sony yourself and ask them what they think.

Don't reformat!! It is not neccessary!!

Either add or take some megs on the HDD and then it will work. Download a demo or a few trailers or delete something.

You can say that but, I had nothing on my hard drive outside of a few saved game files. Had 50 gigs available and it gave this error. Welcome to try anything he wishes of course but, there is some other problem with the title on a limited number of systems. They also knew about this when releasing.

you arent understanding. this error could happen to a fresh ps3, the solution has been stated a few times, and a reformat isnt it. download a demo from the store or delete a demo from your ps3, problem solved
