Default suggestions on best amp for my system

ok so i have my lsi15's, lsic, lsifx, and psw1000. They are all connected to my sony3300es which has 7.1 pre outs. Im looking to connect a seperate amp and im looking for suggestions as to the best amp that i can get for the setup i have without spending extra money one features that my setup cannot accomadate. Also i dont know weather i want a 5 channel or 7 channel amp. I know my receiver can matrix 5.1 singals to 7.1 through hdmi, ut i am unsure if it can through the analouge connections. This is a concern for me because i have heard that with high end compenents (specifically blu-ray players) this is the more desired option. Please correct me if i am wrong, and any imput is greatly appreciated.

what i mean is i dont want to spend extra money on an amp that, say for example outputs wattage that my speakers cannot handle. Im just asking for advice on the best amp for my system, not the best amp money can buy

It is almost impossible to outpower those speakers unless you spend tons of money on mono block amps and crank your system. What price range are you interested in? I like the bi-amping option of a seven channel amp, it at least gives you the option, and those speakers are pretty power hungry. I have seen B&K do well with those before, I know because I tried mine on my dads LSI's. Also I think that Rotel is a good option (relatively inexpensive compared to many other options), Lexicon is fantastic, just expensive. Marantz has their new Home Theatre Amp out and Anthem makes great amps. I almost picked up an anthem instead of my B&K (preferred it too), but price I got on the B&K was a steal.
