I went to captain howdy.com and they have said warner has announced its arrival but to expect an official announcement near christmas. I can't wait for this announcement.

They are basing that on a title holder at Amazon. I wouldn't put too much into this. Warner Brothers HAS NOT announced this title for Blu-ray release yet.

You're right but it might be giving Warner Bros. clever ideas. If it does happen, they better do a damn good job on it.

I am curious if this will be the version seen in the cinema in 1973, or the version seen in the cinema in 2000, or if both versions will come out on blu-ray.

Exorcist by far. This would almost complete the classic horror to come out on blu. All that is left is IT. I want IT to come out. They all float down here.

Warner would make crazy amounts of money on this title. Its a no brainer. I hope they hurry up.

I'm keeping tabs on whatever shows up on Playstation Network's HD movie rentals, and if they're any early indication, I'll see your Exorcist rumor, and raise you that we'll get both 1 and 2 on Blu, Richard Burton and all.

(Although why PSN is showing "Heretic" in HD and the original in SD, is one of the mysteries about PSN Movies we still haven't solved yet--
The selection is decidedly random.

. )
