Default Notebook help

For the past couple of years i have wanted to buy a mac notebook. At the time i was purchasing my first notebook for college it was to expensive so i went with a $700 sony vaio. I was not happy with it and although i have used windows my whole life, I am not the biggest fan of vista. I recently sold my sony vaio ($500 not bad) and I have another $300 saved up from selling my ipod video and some ps3 games. I found a Mac for $800 that is the newer macbook that one of my cousins friend is selling.

Specs
Intel core 2 duo 2.0Ghz
4 GB ram
100Gb 7200 rpm Hard drive
Intel x3100 graphics
13.3"screen
combo cd burner/dvd drive
OS X leopard 10.5.4
I Life 08
mint condition

I dont know much about notebooks and I would love to hear your suggestions about mac and if these specs are alright

I've converted to MAC after taking a sledge hammer to my windoze machine. I still have to run some windoze software but the MAC can run it with boot camp. For 800 bucks I would snatch that MAC up.

Proper way to type it is just "Mac". It isn't all caps. (I'm picky about that stuff )

Umm, a lot of the most popular windows apps are also on OS X. And if he really needs to use a Windows-only app, any version of Windows can be installed on an Intel Mac.

It's actually very easy to learn the basics of OS X. It's the most "User-Friendly" OS out there.

The MacBook also has built in WiFi, the processor is the same speed, and the ram can easily be upgraded. Windows requires way more processing power than OS X. In Vista, you pretty much have to have 4 gigs of ram to make it run smooth, 1 gig in OS X will do fine.

My Vista laptop has 2GB of RAM (I need to upgrade), and a 2 GHZ Dual core processor. My Leopard iMac has only 1GB of RAM and the same processor, and it's 10x faster than my laptop.

Actually you can. Many programs are supported including Office, or the free version that I use called NeoOffice. If you happen to find something that isn't supported then you can always run Windows on the Mac as well.
