You must have heard of the release of the PC game "Spore" where you manage the life of a cell from the beginning to further stages of evolution. Having spent hours on this game I can say that the stage I enjoyed the most was the first one with my cell hunting for food and evolving.
Many months ago there was this game for the PS3 called "Flow" wich seems to be very similar to the first stage of Spore so I wanted to ask anyone who has played Flow, how is the game, do you evolve as you feed your cell, how does it compare to the first stage of Spore ? |

Flow is awsome!
Such a simple concept that has so much atmosphere and mood to it, plus the backgrounds are quite impressive to look at too! ![]() |

flOw isn't so much a game as an "experience". There's no score, there's no goals, other than anything you set for yourself. You can literally jump all the way to the end of each creature's form without having consumed anything if you're careful, though the visual splendor of seeing your creature grow as you dive deeper does have a certain appeal. This is very different from Spore's motivation, which is to accumulate mutation points to develop your creature in very specific and deliberate ways. |

The music in Flow is very "new age" relaxing. It's too bad I must wait till probably 2009 before I can actually play this game. Hope that It will still be around the PSN by then

Never played flOw, but Spore is ok. Not as cool as it sounded when it was originally conceived. Definitely repetitive and often boring. That being said, check out the Amazon reviews. There are 1,335 as of me writing this giving it one star because of the DRM. One user calls it Draconian - its fantastic. I will not purchase this game on the basis of the DRM, sorry EA.
I feel bad for my friend who did though, he was excited and almost started calling for midnight releases. DRM just hurts legal customers - a quick torrent search found me over 8000 seeders and over 27000 leechers from one tracking site. It's a shame really, but I'm glad Amazon is keeping these reviews up and allowing people to express their concern. |

Fl0w was originally a flash-based game. I think you can find a version of it online. It's almost identical.
