A general rule of thumb is not to ever touch or clean your projector screen if at all possible. If you do need to clean it, I would check with your screen manufacturer to see what they recommend. That way, if your screen gets marred by cleaning, they will remedy it if it's still under warranty.

I suspect that if you are seeing streaks on bright images on the screen, your screen may be hotspotting or demonstrating "sparklies". Are you using a positive gain screen? You may want to contact your screen manufacturer on the issue. If it's not within spec, you can try to get a replacement.

Most screens are either coated PVC or vinyl, which are generally pretty durable, but scratches/tears/folds on a screen can occur. If the screen came that way, I would look into getting a replacement.

AFAIK, there is not a specific cleaner for projector screens. Most of the manufacturers seem to recommend a solution of mild dishwashing liquid and warm water.
