Is the BD the directors cut, theatrical, or does it have both?

I'd say the director's cut is a much better movie, but it's perhaps a bit too long. A few of the new moments could have easily been cut (usually Jon Favreau's comic relief).

I liked both versions. The directors cut trimmed alot of the Elektra scenes though.

The romance between the characters is slightly less cliche in the director's cut (i.e., the removal of the sex scene).

The director's cut is such an improvement. Some dialogue and plot points make so much more sense. This will be worth a purchase.

Awesome movie. I actually liked the original, but the director's cut is far superior. It is also longer, but does not drag out.

I found that people either love this movie or hate it and I have never met anyone in between.

I agree with that. No one seems to be lukewarm. I think its the Affleck factor, you can either get behind it or people loathe him.

The director's cut owns, and I'm looking forward to upgrading to Blu on this one.

Fisrt time I watched DD was the regular theatrical cut, when it was released on DVD and I absolutely hated it. I recently watched the director's cut and while it does not live up to other comic book movie series, I actually enjoyed it and went on to pick up the director's cut on DVD (Walmart $5 special ). I don't think I would double dip for it on Blu but it is a lot more enjoyable than the theatrical version. If you're unsure, then def give it a rent first.

directo'r cut only for me, they could easily put the theatrical and the DC on the same BD with the branching system as they did for the 3 versions of Blade runner

Actually they couldn't. They completely re-cut the movie for the directors cut. They didn't just add some scenes. They cut out 15 minutes and added back in 45 minutes and the score was re cut for it as well. There is no way to integrate both cuts without 2 separate encodes on the disc.

Just got finished watching Daredevil and it looks/sounds great. The audio was pretty amazing and is probably the most active I've heard the surrounds. Most of time, sound is all around you and I thought that really worked well as a way of relaying Daredevil's (Matt's) perspective on things. One of the Evanescence songs (I think it was the first one in the movie) sounded great (and pretty haunting) coming from all directions. Really nice.

Edit: Just looking to see if I could find a review to see what they think of the PQ/AQ, I found one at HTF: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/...ml#post3437346

Takes balls to say that. I commend you. Even though it's wrong.
