Default Daredevil 2

hey guys,

I was just wondering, what is the story with the development of a second Daredevil? I know originally that Ben Affleck signed on to do 3 movies, but later decided not to continue with the project.

Anyone knows anything about this?

thanks.

Have not heard a peep on this one. Doubt it will happen though as the first one was a disappointment.

Yeah its been a tossup for years now, due to Daredevil not doing so good. Ben Affleck mentioned he would do it again if he was offered. Maybe they will make it one day. But Marvel wants to do Captain America, FF3, Silver Surfer, Spidey 4, Thor, Avengers and Iron Man 2, so they might be occupied

I have seen it, it was bad but had the potential to be better. yet the comic character shows potential to be the next big superhero. As Dark As Batman.

I liked the the director's cut of Daredevil. I guess I'm in the minority.

ben affleck? i thought he didnt act anymore. the only movie i ever liked with him was armageddon, and plenty of people don't like that one either. however, his directing debut with Gone Baby Gone was quite good

although the film was a disappointment, it did bring in the money. It was a Blockbuster.

There are a lot of projects in the hands of marvel comics, but i am thinking they should reconsider a re-make of Daredevil.

I honestly dont think they will be doing anymore reboots for movies, They are doing it for Hulk and Punisher, but its gonna get to the point where it will turn off fans, where we wont wanna see new people playing iconic characters. I love Thomas Jane as Frank Castle, but i will give this other guy a shot

The director's cut is 30 minutes longer which includes more fight scenes and better character development. Especially with regards to the scenes between Electra and Matt/Daredevil.

who is the other guy playing the part of frank castle?

with remaking a title such of the HULK the film has potential of being a great film. now I grew on the incredible hulk cartoon and comic books. I actually still think that the Hulk is a better character than spidey. Because the Characteristics of the Hulk is a more serious personality/identity issue. The same reason I like Batman more than Superman.

Yep, I'm a big fan of the Director's Cut too.

Well, I liked the regular version enough, but the DC is the ultimate and worthwhile cut now.

Sometimes i just don't get it with the director's cut. I mean if it explains the story/development better, then there is no point of editing it. you know what i mean, right?

Well, the Producer on Daredevil got a little too intimate with HIS vision of the movie. He comes across as a right pr*ck on the dvd extras. I'll settle for a nice BD release of the Dir's Cut, nevermind a sequel. Hear me, Fox? It's money in the bank...

The movie was originally going to be rated R, but Fox partway through production told them to make it PG-13 so that it would be a success on par with Spider-Man. The studio made him cut the film. The Director's Cut is incredibly better and this is from someone who liked the Theatrical cut.

Actually. in many people's eyes (especially studio execs) it is better to have a shorter, more concise (to the point) version of such action flicks in the movie theater environment. These type of movies tend to be a bit shorter that way they can hold the viewer's attention better. If you go off on a tangent in the storyline, then you risk losing fluidity and a certain pace which is essential to the success of such movies.
