Aintitcool had an inside source give them info on all the upcoming Marvel projects and the source also talked about Fox wanting to reboot FF and DareDevil. Here is the snippet on that part:
Fox is serious about doing remakes of Daredvil and FF. They have to make new movies with these characters every few years because otherwise the options will revert to us. This point is kinda obvious but Im not sure people realise it –I havent seen anybody pointing it out anywhere. The mood around here is pretty negative about Rothman’s potential to execute these properties properly, (Im sure you know why it might be particularly negative at the moment) but we are all hoping his recent promotion will mean hes kept away from direct control of these movies. So, it seems that if Fox doesn't put out versions of these movies whether it be reboots, sequels, etc. every few years then the rights revert back to Marvel so they can make them themselves! Ohhhh, if Marvel could get them back and make them right... also wish they could get Ghost Rider as well. Here is a direct link to the whole article: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/40410 |

I'd love Marvel to do a decent Daredevil flick! He really is as close as they're gonna get to the dark broody superhero (Punisher isn't really a superhero he's just a vigilante).
I suppose Daredevil is the one character that could genuinely go the Dark Knight route the studios seem to want. Do we start speculating on directors and actors to fill the tights now? My tuppeny's worth: Actor: I've always wanted to see Matt Damon as DD; physically he has it and he'd be a great Matt Murdock! Director: Alex Proyas or Francis Lawrence would be great on the visual side especially with the religeous symbolism involved and both seem to approach the fantastic seriously - ie: NO CAMP! |

Again, though, as with the first FF film, they simply blew it by not putting the Director's Cut (DD) or the Extended Cut (FF) into the theaters instead of the cut up/down versions. They might not have been perfect, but each was far better than the theatrical cuts that did get released. At least with Blu-ray, I have the right DD cut, no matter whom they decide to hand the role to instead of Ben (Affleck). Let's also hope that they pretty much dispense with redoing the origin. Just start off with a new film and a new actor and get going. |

Thanks but, no thanks on Damon. Let's get an actor that has unmodified red hair. Affleck's hair in Daredevil was just a distraction because you KNEW it was dyed. And why would a blind man need to dye his hair? Logan |

It's a shame Marvel can't just get all the rights back for their properties and make them properly. ![]() |

any movie with jennifer garner in a black leather outfit is fine w/ me. I liked the first one. both the theatrical cut and the director's cut. honestly I don't mind Ben Affleck. I don't see why people hate him so much. he makes decent action flicks. he's had a few train wreck movies but who hasn't. Pearl Harbor, sum of all fears, daredevil are all good enough action flicks if you don't go into it hating it before you've seen it. no movie from great source material is ever going to live up to expectations so just don't let it bother you. the lliad is my fav book of all time and I hated troy originally b/c I loved the book so much but then I watched it again without weighing it against the book and I enjoyed that too.

i don't know, i thought most of the movies that marvel doesn't own the rights to were done right for the most part. sure, they all weren't great, but they will still fine films in their own right.
