Surprised to see no threads talking about Fracture.
Fracture has some of the best graphics of any game this generation. The manipulation of the ground is incredibly cool and well done. So many possibilities and much more so than just destructible surroundings like that was seen in Bad Company. The intro tutorial really got me excited about the game..... Then the actual gameplay started. First off, I think 3rd person was a mistake for this game, or at least how they have it implemented it just doesn't work. Then the actual enemies are horrible. They just don't match up with the incredibly cool terrain effects. Looks like they just focused on the terrain stuff and tacked on a 3rd person shooter. A shame, since this finally could have given us a new dimension to the aging FPS genre. |
