I don't know if anyone would know this type of information but..
Generally, do the prices of movies increase/decrease/stay the same when a sequel comes out? For example will Dark Knight cause Batman Begins to drop in price because of a shift in focus or will it increase temporarily because of popularity? Thanks in advance. |

From what I've noticed, the trend seems to be that related films will go on sale the week a sequel releases, but will go back to regular price (and usually stay there) when that week's sale is over. This is the way Circuit City and Best Buy usually do it. But that's just two retailers and one man's observation.
