Default Vintage Amplifiers? Worth it?

Okay so I don't quite know how I stumbled upon these, just kind of browsing around eBay... anyways, I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy either of these or if they're pretty much scrap-worthy (compared to newer stereo amps) at this point?

Check out some older models from Marantz. The older solid state models have an incredible warm sound. That being said, they are pretty much only good for music. For home theater, you'll want something newer.

The problem lies with the "decent price" part. The Marantz amps get up there pretty high. Not nearly as high as a MacIntosh, but high enough. No specific recommendations though.

Now that I'm thinking about it though, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use these with home theater. You're pre-amp should take care of all the processing and just send an analog signal to the amp. That kenwood looks cheap enough. For the price it shouldn't disappoint.

The Kenwood is an integrated amp and the Pioneer is a receiver. Both will work for a two channel setup but you won't be able to use a preamp or a receiver as a pre with them. Not sure if you thought they were just amps.........

There are a lot of good older amps out there and not just on Ebay.
