Default WARNING: WATCH YOUR BEST BUY REWARD ZONE ACCOUNT!!!! (repost)

I use Best Buy for all my Blu Ray purchases. They price match everything for me. I use my Reward Zone card for every purchase too. I had a $50 certificate waiting in my account last night. I was going to use it to purchase The Incredible Hulk and Indy 4. Today when I logged in, my cert was gone. I called the Reward Silver number and they told me that my account had been accessed and the cert was used to buy PS3 games at a store in California. I live in Michigan. They told me that accounts are occasionally hacked and certs are stolen. Luckily, they are going to give me a replacement certificate. I am still quite bent that this could even happen. It sucks that it will take them 7-14 days to process this problem and replace my cert.

I don't let my points bank. Every time I have a $10 certificate waiting, I print it out right away.

I commend you for putting this in the correct area - but a mod would have actually moved the initial thread

You sure can.

Log into your account, and there's an option to claim unreported points. On your receipt there's some sort of 16 charactor or something code towards the bottom.

I've wondered about this too. It seems that the bigger the purchase, the longer it takes for them to give us our RZ certs.

I think it's just Best Buy playing their games.

Best Buy credit card. well theres 2 of them Theres a Best Buy card you have a credit limit on and a BB credit card which is sort of the same thing. But you're saying no. Because with me and Circuit City when i use my CC card to buy a tv i thought i was going to get some $5 off coupons. (they say they have the same program as BB) then after a while i found out i wasn't since i use a 1 year no interest. Then they pulled something else when i bought my PS3. But I bought games and other stuff with the card and still no coupons.

man, sorry to change subject but this reminded me. when i bought my tv, the kid said "when you buy any sony hd tv, you get 100 dollars off a PS3." i told him i already had one. so he told me "alright, we'll give you 3 free blurays then" well, between the hustle and bustle of the getting the guys to bring it up front, and paying and loading it into my car, it wasn't until i got home that i realized that i forgot my "free" blurays!! the store was closed by then, so i went back the next day and (of course) the same guy wasn't working, but when i told customer service about it, they said they couldn't honor it and that he shouldn't have promised that!! i was mad. just because i hate being promised something that people turn around on. I'm just wondering if Circuit City is still doing that.

As far as Best Buy, I just got a call from them this morning telling me that I needed to use my $5 coupon because it expires the 1st of Nov. They want me to spend. I get mine in the mail.
